A Day in Sim Lims

Being digital gadgets enthusiast is not an easy thing. It happened to me so many times where I totally broke right after visiting Sim Lim Square, Singapore’s largest digital mall. That’s what happened to me last Saturday when I brought few friends (newspaper reporters from Malaysia) to visit the Singapore’s version of Low Yat Plaza.

Well, the trip which supposed to be merely a ‘tourist guide’ turned to be something else. I’ve spent almost $800 on computer stuffs and some other things. Among the stuffs are an Atom Mini-ITX mainboard+casing+RAM and also a Cisco Aironet wireless card, for my wireless pen test project.

I brought my friend Bob to Sim Lim Tower (next to Sim Lim Square) to buy a handheld Amateur Radio set for him to pick the Hams jargon as a preparation for his Radio Amateur Examination (RAE).

Well Bob, you’ve got what you want. I hope being a Short Wave Amateur Listener (SWAL) will give you more exposure on how Hamsters communication through the air. Good luck for your exam bro!
