IKON-Touchscreen Digital Radio

Still remember your first AM/FM Radio? Do you still remember how hard for you to tune from one station to another, especially station which resides closely to one another, in term of KHz/MHz. In today’s world, everything suddenly becomes digital, from TV, telephone to radio.

Revo Technologies and Frontier Silicon has introduced their latest multi format digital radio called IKON. The digital radio comes with full color 3.5-inch touch screen, icon driven user interface, and multi standard radio capabilities. It also supports iPod and iPhone, the 2-must have gadgets by yippie. The Ikon supports digital radio standards such as DAB, DAB+ and internet radio along with the standard FM radio with RDS. The screen displays colour station logos, station descriptions, track and artist information, news headlines and more.

According to David Bexter, CEO of Revo Technologies, “We believe that IKON is the first product to truly deliver on the promise of digital radio, delivering a next generation radio experience complete with icon driven colour touch-screen interface, coverage of multiple radio formats, iPod and iPhone docking and access to premium online music services such as Last.fm, Sirius, Rhapsody and Pandora.”

IKON also come with wireless streaming capability from any connected PC or Macintosh and will be offered for ?279.95 and will be available worldwide in October 2009. Revo is expected to exhibit IKON at the IFA Consumer Electronics Fair in Berlin from 4th to 9th September 2009.
