Dell Streak Android Smartphone
To survive in this digital era, a technology based company must continuosly come up with newly improved and innovative products. Apple, Sony and Nokia, to name a few are among tech companies who are constantly involved in Research & Development (R&D) in making sure they are inline with market demand.
Dell, for example is doing all it can to add new businesses to its offerings in the form of services for migrating to Windows 7 and new consumer electronic products. This is in the face of slipping from the second place spot in the global computer shippers list with Acer taking its spot.
Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell has lately been talking quite a bit about their smartphone that is coming early next year. A smartphone isn’t the only Android device that the computer maker has up its sleeves. Today a new MID based on Android from Dell has leaked on the Internet. The device is called the Dell Streak, has a 5-inch WVGA 800 x 480 resolution touchscreen, and powered by Android 2.0.
Streak also comes with wireless capabilities such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. The prototype of Streak is equipped with 5-Megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. This smartphone uses MicroSD as a memory expansion to compliment it’s internal memory. The talktime for Streak is expected to be longer than normal phone as it is using a 1300mAh unit. As for design, the front of this phone is simple with only three physical buttons, while the rest of the phone functions are controlled by touch screen display.
