It has been a while since we last heard about HP’s phone. I used to own the iPAQ RW6828 few years back. It was such a great phone I must admit. but with the rapid development in mobile devices technology as well as the competition from other manufacturers, iPAQ has been in silent mode for quite some time.![]()
But HP has announce the comeback of their iPAQ series with the debut of the iPAQ Glisten, code name K3 or Obsidian. This phone features QWERTY keyboard with a 2.5-inch AMOLED QVGA touchscreen. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 although many would expect it to be running Windows Mobile 7.
The AMOLED touchscreen display provides much increased colour depth and 5-way directional pad. HP has improved the power consumption with the 1590mAh battery that provides longer operation time. With a thickness of 13.5mm, Glisten is relatively thin compared to its rivals.
It comes with ample storage – 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM and additional storage using microSD up to 32GB, so you don’t have to worry about saving your favourite songs and videos.
iPAQ Glisten supports multiple wireless connectivity which includes 3G for voice and data, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 for short-range wireless communication with other Bluetooth devices.
And if you’re an avid photographer, the 3.1 Megapixel camera with 5x digital zoom may not be enough for you. But yet, it is better then never right?. But if you’re a music lover, the 3.5mm headset jack allows you to hook-up this phone to most home theater speaker.
Just landed on this post via Google lookup. I love it. This situation change my percept and I am getting the RSS feeds. Cheers Up.
