3G Issues on Google Nexus One

Not even a week after entering the mobile phone industry, Google Nexus One users has reported issues related to their 3G receptions. A number of users has posted that they have experienced intermitten 3G reception lost, resulting the phone to operate in EDGE connectivity. Some of them also reported a sudden drop to 1 bar in term of reception quality for yet to know reason.

US based users who have acquired their phones via T-Mobile has reported that even the telco seem to have no idea as to what’s causing the issue. A user reported, “I upgraded from a Blackberry Pearl to the Nexus One. I cannot get any 3G service as of yet,” writes one poster. “Don’t know what the problem is. T-mobile and HTC support weren’t able to help.”

Since the users has tested with different phone but found no issue with the connectivity, it could be due to some hardware or software issues on the phone that caused this. The reports are believe to increase in the weeks to come. Hopefully both T-Mobile and HTC (the phone’s manufacturer) will sort out this issue as presently the phone has only on sales in 4 countries via Google’s website. With this known issue, it is feared that users from other countries will be more careful before making their decision to own one!.
