GPS in a DSLR? No, I’m not surprised. Nikon high-end Digital SLR camera has been equipped with this feature for some time. But GPS in a compact digital – sounds impossible to me. But not until Casio debuts their EX-10HG digital camera prototype with built-in GPS.
This hybrid-GPS digital camera allows user to geotag their photos based on normal GPS signal, just like what $3000 camera could do. If signal is weak, it will guess the location based on previous data as well as from its built-in accelormeters and sensors. It also include self-correcting and a map feature for travellers. It displays main POIs or Point of Interests and distance from the locations.
With its 12.1 megapixel and 10x zoom, I believe this camera will able to catch the eyes of gadgets enthusiasts. Now with WiFi and GPS in a compact camera, I wonder what’s will be next?
