You’re in a cinema, equipped with a large size pop-corn and soda. Just before the movie starts, a reminder to put your phone in silent mode were shown. But not long after the movie starts, you heard a loud ringtone, then some moron simply picked the call and talked loudly, which really irritating and turned off your watching excitement.

These is just one of the scenario where the use of mobile phones iritates other people. The use of mobile phones in other places such as hospital and places of worship is also considered not appropriate.

The best solution to ‘teach’ those users is by using a cell phone jammer. Phone jammer is a device used to cause communication disruption between mobile phones and telco towers, restricting mobile phone users from making and receiving calls.

The jammer works by transmitting a signal on the similar radio frequency used by mobile phones. The signals sent out by the jammer and the phone collide and will kill each other out. Affected phones will indicate that there is no network service available.

Mobile phone jammes can be in a size as big as a briefcase or as small as a handphone. It operates within a radius of 30 feet up to few miles. Some jammers are battery operated, while others are using electrical power.

This device was originally developed to allow law enforcement agencies to interrupt communication by criminals as well as terrorist attacks which using mobile phones as a remote control switch.

Jammers are also used in areas where mobile phone transmissions are hazardous, such as chemical storage facilities. They also help prevent corporate and government espionage.

Cell phone jamming is banned in the many countries such as United States, United Kingdom and Australia because it may be misused by irresponsible parties.
