Nokia, the big name in mobile telecommunication industry has announced their new series of phones including the most awaited – The Nokia N8. This state of the art smartphone sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen, a 12-megapixel digital camera and of course, the latest version Symbian operating system 3.

Nokia is set to hold a press conference on Monday to annonce the launch of 14 new models to the world. It is reported that the N8 will be the first model to be powered by Symbian OS 3. It would be high end smartphone with a multi touch feature and the ability to record 720p high definition video. You may also watch the photos and videos directly on your High Definition TV via the HDMI output. It supports multi format videos including DivX.

With the recent development in the mobile telecommunication landscape, Android will be the closest rival to this latest Symbian OS. Only time will tell if Symbian can still survive in this mobile phone market as Android has becoming more and more popular and has started to attract many mobile phone makers.
