Imagine having an information kiosk type of monitor at your home. Yes, the multitouch monitor it’s no longer for commercial use only, now even home users may now adopt the technology at their home workspace.

The latest monitor from Lenovo, the L2461x Wide with 23.6-inch size supports a resolution up to 1920×1080 and capacitive multitouch feature. It also incorporates a 2-megapixel camera and a USB 2.0 hub with four ports to connect to USB-support devices.

Other feature includes D-Sub, DVI, HDMI 1.3 ports as well as dual 3W speakers which give you ample sound. You may connect the monitor with external speakers to experience better sound especially when watching movies.

The L2461x Wide also supports HD with its white LED backlit panel and allows a 170-degree horizontal viewing angle. It consumes power intelligently and certified with Energy Star 5.0, so you don’t have to worry about your utility bill.

For the time being, there’s no official release date for it but it is sold online for $646, so the normal retail price should be around that figure.
