The new smartphone is said to be powered by a 750MHz OMAP3630 processor from Texas Instruments and features a 4.3″ touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854, 8-megapixel camera with high definition video recording capabilities.

The Droid Xtreme is relatively thin with only 0.39″ thickness and has a dimension of 2.5″ x 5.01″ and weighs only 155 grams. It will be using Google’s open source operating system – Android 2.1 with Motoblur, which is quite disappointing that a latest smartphone like this is not equipped with Android 2.2, which is much superior.

But it is not impossible that Motorola will make some last minute changes especially on the operating aspect to ensure that their customers will have a full satisfaction over this latest Droid.
